28-year old righty swinging 3B David Wright has been on fire since coming off the D.L. In his first 12 games since being activated from the D.L., Wright is 20 for 51 (.392 avg) with 10 runs scored, 2 homers and 13 RBIs. Wright has now played in 51 games for the Mets so far this year and he is 53 for 197 (.269 avg, .801 OPS) with 33 runs scored, 8 homers, 31 RBIs and 9 stolen bases. Wright’s bat has made up for the loss of Carlos Beltran’s…..so they need him to keep ripping the ball.

28-year old switch-hitting shortstop Jose Reyes was elected by the fans, so he will be starting for the National League. He is turning in an MVP type season so far for the Mets. 34-year old switch-hitting RF Carlos Beltran was picked as a reserve. He has played in 84 games for the Mets so far this year and he is 87 for 307 (.283 avg, .875 OPS) with 48 runs scored, 13 homers, 57 RBIs and 3 stolen bases. 28-year old shortstop Jose Reyes continues to rip the ball for the Mets. Reyes has played in 23 games in June so far and he is 37 for 104 (.356 avg, .951 OPS) with 25 runs scored, 2 homers, 15 RBIs and 9 stolen bases. He has now played in 75 games for the Mets so far this year and he is 113 of 331 (.341 avg, .899 OPS) with 61 runs scored, 3 homers, 32 RBIs and 28 stolen bases. It’s starting to look likely that the Mets might deal Reyes next month….and that’s a shame. Reyes is the big reason the Mets are sitting at .500 right now. No matter what they get back for Reyes, they eventually will end up in last place in the National League East.

The Mets need Murphy to keep up the good work.

27-year old switch-hitting shortstop Jose Reyes has been awesome for the Mets so far this year. Reyes has played in 49 games for the Mets so far this year and he is 68 for 213 (.319 avg, .831 OPS) with 30 runs scored, 1 homer, 16 RBIs and 17 stolen bases. He has been especially hot so far this May. Reyes has played in 23 games for the Mets so far in May and he is 34 for 101 (.337 avg, .897 OPS) with 15 runs scored, 9 RBIs and 9 stolen bases.
