With Carlos Beltran, Jose Reyes, Daniel Murphy and Kelvim Escobar all starting the year on the D.L. it looks like trouble for the Mets in 2010. The Mets had better hope that Jason Bay can reach the seats as often as he did at Fenway or they are going to have a hard time scoring runs early in the year. David Wright also has to find his power swing or the Mets are in deep trouble. If John Maine and Oliver Perez keep healthy and focused all year long the pitching staff could be a lot better than most people think it will be. I have the Mets pegged for fourth place in the N.L. Central and I would bet on the under.
