62-year old Terry Collins finished tied for 8th (with Don Mattingly of the Dodgers) for the N.L. Manager of the Year Award. Collins led the Mets to a 77-85 (47.5%) record despite the team suffering through a lot of serious injuries. Collins is now 521-519 (50.1%) in his first 7 years as a manager in the major leagues. Better times are ahead for the Mets and Collins is the right guy to get them there.
